Hawaii Day 5

Day 5 was when we were supposed to be headed back, and had the morning to ourselves. We decided to pick a few of our favorite locations and spend a leisurely morning there. We found 3 collinear beaches, meaning you could take a bus and go to beach 3, come back to beach 2, beach 1, and finally the hostel taking the same bus in the opposite direction. The buses were scheduled an hour apart, which gave us sufficient time to explore all 3 beaches. Here are some random pictures of the Makappu beach, the sandy beach, and the Hanauma bay (it was our 3rd visit to the Hanauma bay).

The bottomline is -- go visit Hawaii if you get a chance. Don't wait for a honeymoon or something romantic to happen.

Great set of post about Hawaii. Had no idea such a variety of beaches could exist.

Nice pics....but would like to add something. Oahu is by far the most commercialized region of Hawaii, going there and claiming that Hawaii is beautiful is no good. Its as good as staying in Seattle, hiking in Olympic National Park and spending time in a beach on a nice summer day.

Please visit Kauai or Maui to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of Hawaii. I understand that your lack of driving skills would have been an hindrance but whenever you can, make sure you visit Kauai or Maui. Also, you really don't have to go so far, make a road trip along the coast from Seattle to SFO, stop at all the unknown spots around Fall or Spring and see what nature has to offer.
